Child DanceSport (Saturday 1pm)
This is a class for children that want to participate in dance competitions, known as DanceSport. In this group dance class your child will learn simple routines of International Ballroom and Latin dances such as Waltz, Quickstep, Rumba and ChaCha. This a very fun and energetic class that requires stamina and focus. We will be specifically focusing on preparation for competitions.
Ballroom and Latin dancing includes many different dances. In general they can be divided into two categories: Ballroom (also called Standard) and Latin.
Ballroom dances include Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz and Quickstep. Those are progressive, elegant dances that are danced around Ballroom.
For Latin dances (this is International Style Latin-American) we have also five dances which are ChaCha, Rumba, Samba, Paso Doble and Jive. These dances are more stationary and energetic.
In this class children will learn not only how to dance, but also how to compete. There are many competitions around the Nation that vary in size and levels. Children will learn what is expected from DanceSport Athletes, how competitions are organized and run. This information will give them competitive advantage when attneding those competitions.
DanceSport Club students regularly participate in local, regional and National DanceSport competitions. Talk to us if you would like your child to get involved in DanceSport.

How do we register?
You can register for Children's Ballroom and Latin dance classes in several ways. Follow the link on this page and register online. You can also stop by the studio and register in person. This will give you an opportunity to see our facility.
How much dance classes cost?
Monthly cost for Child Ballroom Dance class is $60. The price includes 4 dance classes that are held weekly.
When is payment due?
For new students, payment is due upon registration. For returning students payment is due the 1 class of every month. You will receive an email with the link to submit your payment. Alternatively you can pay at the studio cash or credit card. No checks.
Should I expect extra fees?
We do not have registration fees. However, you will need to supply your young dancer with appropriate dance attire such as dance shoes, proper clothing for class and any costumes required for Holiday Showcase. There will also be additional costs if you choose for your child to participate in dance competitions.
Is there a fee for Holiday Showcase?
There is no fee for your child to participate in the Holiday Dance Showcase. However, there may be costuming cost involved, depending on what we decide to do for Showcase. Family members are required to purchase tickets to watch the showcase.
